Four national executives of Odike’s United Progressive Party (UPP) are currently nursing their wounds following their involvement in a car crash in Kumasi on Monday, MyNewsGh.com reports.

They were travelling in a Toyata V8 Landcruiser with registration number, GR-2221-18, which belongs to businessman and founder of the UPP, Akwasi Addai Odike.

Mr. Odike tells MyNewsGh.com in an exclusive interview that “they were on their way to the Northern region to do some grounds work towards our campaign for the 2020 elections”.

He said the vehicle was crossed on a T – junction by a “carelessly driven unidentified taxi cab”, causing his driver to lose control of the car.

Eyewitnesses say the vehicle somersaulted a couple of times until it landed on its suspensions, causing the tires to blow up.

The accident occurred at an area near the Golden Tulip Hotel and the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council.

The occupants were all admitted at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for medical attention; they have since been discharged.

The mangled car has since been towed from the accident spot.
