Ododoioddio Dev't Projects Terminated

Residents of the Ododoioddio constituency in the greater Accra region say they are now convinced that development projects, which were embarked upon before the recent by-election in the constituency, were only an attempt by the government to coax them for votes.

According to the residents, the construction of roads and the erection of street lights have ceased since the NPP lost the election affirming their belief that they were an attempt by the ruling party to buy their votes. Ahead of the recent by-election, which was won by the opposition, NDC, roads, drains and streetlights were rehabilitated in the constituency amidst allegations that they were meant as bait to the electorate.

This was however denied by government officials who said the work was part of ongoing development projects throughout the Greater Accra Region. But during interactions with news team that visited the constituency on Monday morning, the constituents intimated that the cessation of the development projects immediately after the NPP lost the election indicates that they were an attempt to win votes.
