A Public Interest Advocate, Mr. Frank Aboagye Danyansah has accused the media of blowing out of proportion the issue regarding the leaked tape purported to be that of the voice of National Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Ofosu,-Ampofo, MyNewsGh.com reports.
“I have problems with some media house for jumping the gun in investigating whose voice is that”, Mr. Danyansah fumed during panel discussion on Kumasi-based Nhyira FM morning show monitored by MyNewsGh.com.
According to the young politician, it is too earlier for any right-thinking Ghanaian to believe or draw conclusion the voice is that of Mr. Ofosu- Ampofo’s as being alleged by some Ghanaians
Earlier, the NDC National Communications Officer, Sammy Gyamfi described some Ghanaian journalists position on the matter hypocrites for the hasty manner in which they played and discussed the voice on their shows.
According to Sammy Gyamfi, the tape has been doctored and that it is not the voice of their Chairman.
Speaking in an interview on Accra-based Okay FM, Sammy Gyamfi was shocked that some media outlets that did not agree to air some leaked tapes in the past are now transcribing and airing a tape which is supposedly related to the NDC.
He said “These bunch of hypocrite journalist will never play leaked tapes on their shows so far as they have negative repercussions on the NPP. However, they are quick to play leaked tapes that involve the NDC like we are seeing today”.
Mr. Frank Aboagye Danyansah who concurs with the hypocrisy tag slapped on the media, want them to hasten slowly and take a second listen to the contents before pronouncing the NDC leader guilty of anything but not join the bandwagon to make political mincemeat of it.
