The Anglican Church Cathedral in Cape Coast has launched its 150th Anniversary celebration with the consecration and dedication of the church building.
The launch was jointly done by the Diocesan Bishop, Rt Rev. Dr. Victor Reginald Atta Baffoe and the Omanhen of Oguaa Traditional Area, Osaberima Nana Kwesi Atta III, at the Christ Church Cathedral.
The climax of the celebration would be on November 29, 2015 on the theme,” The impact of the Anglican Church on the society”.
Speaking at the launch, the Dean of the Cathedral, Very Rev. Emmanuel Entsi Williams appealed to the church to remain united and show love to one another.
Osaberima Nana Kwesi Atta, who is a parishioner in the church, appealed to Anglicans to reposition themselves to win more souls for Christ and make themselves available for the service to ther nation.
He said the church had played a very significant role in moulding and shaping individuals and appealed to the Anglican Church to continue to instil good morals in the youth.
Activities lined up to climax the occasion include fund raising dinner dance, special memorial service for departed bishops, candle light procession, debates, symposium, clean up exercise in the Cape Coast Metropolis, sports and keep fit activities.
