Oguaa District Hospital records 11 births during Christmas festivities

Cape Coast, Dec 27, GNA- The Cape Coast District Hospital recorded 11 births, including a set of twin females, between December 23 and Boxing Day.

Ms Magdalene Juliet Acquah, Principal Nursing Officer in charge of the Maternity Ward of the Hospital, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the birth of three babies all females, on 23rd December, a set of twins both males, and two females on the 24th December were recorded. She said the birth of another three babies, two females and a male, were recorded on Christmas Day, while that of two males were recorded when the GNA visited the hospital at 1215 hours. Ms Acquah said with the exception of the babies whose birth was recorded on Boxing Day, the others have been discharged. At the University of Cape Coast Hospital, Mrs Doris Manteaw-Asare, Senior Midwifery Superintendent, told GNA that the birth of a female was recorded on 23rd December.
