One person has been beaten to death, while another is in critical condition after they allegedly stole vehicle parts at Awutu Akrampa in the Awutu Senya West District.

The incident happened on Monday around 5:00 PM.

Information gathered by Kasapa News’ Yaw Boagyan revealed that the robbers were caught removing parts from a tipper truck that was parked at the far end of the community.

An eyewitness, whose name has been withheld, narrated that she was in her shop when the two (thieves) came to her asking for water. A few minutes after she gave them the water, she saw that the two men were in the hands of a mob holding sticks and blocks, beating them mercilessly.

She said one of the suspected robbers died from the beatings, while the other was bathed in dirty oil, with blood oozing from his mouth.

The deceased’s body has been deposited at the Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital Mortuary, while the other has been sent to Winneba Hospital for treatment by the Awutu Bereku Police.
