One student dead, another critically injured in horrific motor accident at Odortorm

A final year General Arts student of the Klo-Agogo Senior High School in the Yilo Krobo Municipality of the Eastern Region has tragically lost his life in a horrific motor accident at Odortorm on the Obawale to Klo-Agogo Road.

The motorbike the deceased, Jerry Sackey, and his friend, Oscar Teye were riding on, collided with a Hyundai vehicle resulting in the untimely death of Jerry Sackey, leaving Oscar Teye in a critical condition.

Friends reported that Jerry Sackey was in school on the morning of Tuesday, September 17, 2024, as they prepared to take their Economics exam at 1 PM.

Before the exam, he picked a motorbike with Oscar Teye, telling their friends they would be back shortly.

Tragically, they later received news that Jerry had been involved in an accident and did not survive, while Oscar sustained various injuries.

An eyewitness, Vida Plokey, reported that two vehicles were traveling on the Odortorm stretch of the Obawale to Klo-Agogo Road when one vehicle attempted to overtake the other and collided with the oncoming motorcycle in the process, resulting in the accident.

The deceased body has since been deposited at the Huhunya Mortuary while Oscar Teye is receiving treatment at the Klo-Agogo Polyclinic.
