Dr Kwesi Ofei Koranteng, a herbal physician and founder of Onipa Hia Moa Clinic in Accra, has returned home after a three week visit to the African Hebrew Israelite Community, Dimona, Israel, a statement issued in Accra on Monday said.
It said while in the world renowned " Africa Village of Peace" in Dimona, he presented a paper on ''Holistic Herbal Medicine'' and interacted with groups of naturopaths, nutritionists and community physicians.
Dr Koranteng praised the community's regenerative nutrition and health program which, after three decades of implementation, points to a record of one case of diabetes, two strokes, virtual eradication of high blood pressure, one heart seizure, no prostrate cancer, no Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD), no HIV and no teen or young adult obesity.
''I was overwhelmed by the evidence of improved health status of members of the community that is made up African-Americans and Africans from the continent.''
''It is time for the replication of the regenerative nutrition and health program in Ghana for the greater benefit of Ghanaian.''
Dr Koranteng expressed his commitment to work with pro-health outfits like "Asase Pa Health Resort" in Cape Coast to replicate the regenerative Health Program of the African Hebrew Israelite Community in local communities in the Central Region.
''Holistic medicine practice is more than a fad. The concept of regenerative nutrition and preventive health is likely to loom even larger in the pantheon of health service as individuals and institutions realise the need to take the initiative to utilise preventive practical and cost-effective methods towards eliminating the diseases that plague society.''
