Just like the enormous size of an elephant, Nana Akufo-Addo’s team of ministers has taken the shape of the mammal- giving a clear hint that this new administration believes in the totem adopted on their party flag.

Several calls have been placed at the doorstep of President Nana Akufo-Addo to downsize the current number of his ministers but Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP, Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako, has offered a different opinion claiming it would only take the current numbers to clean up the mess left behind by the former NDC administration.

Mr. Antwi Boasiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi told Peacefmonline.com that looking at the “messy” economic situation Ex-President John Mahama’s administration left behind, it would take an army of ministers to fix; hence his decision to support Nana Akufo Addo’s size of ministerial appointees.

“John Mahama and his ministers came to milk this nation and left behind a situation for the NPP to fix. We are a party ready to make this economy stable and that is the brain behind the number of ministers the president has appointed.

The NPP is ready to clean the mess that has made Ghana’s economy horrible,” Chairman Wontumi said.

President Nana Akufo-Addo now has a total number of 110 people to serve as ministers, ministers of state and deputies in his administration.

By this number, Nana Akufo-Addo would have the highest list of ministers and deputies to serve in his government since the start of the fourth Republic.

Out of the total 110, 20 are Regional Ministers and their Deputies, 40 ministers for various ministries, with 50 deputies.
