Osafo Marfo is taking Ghanaians as fools - Ablakwa

The Deputy Minister in charge of tertiary education, Samuel Okudjeto Ablakwa has fired salvos at Mr Osafo Marfo for his alleged tribal comments and how he is trying to explain himself.

Osafo Marfo was captured on a secret tape saying that, though about 90 percent of Ghana's resources are in Akan speaking regions, it is people from other regions without resources who are controlling affairs in the country.

The secret tape was captured when he met with some Council of elders in the Eastern Region.

Osafo Marfo, a key member of the New Patriotic Party, has refuted those claims, saying the content of the tape has been pieced together.

On other platforms, he says it is also probable that one of the Council members were paid to record the meeting or someone secretly planted a recording device in the room before the meeting started.

However, analysing Osafo Marfo's explanation, the Deputy Minister, speaking on Radio Gold's Alhaji & Alhaji said it is surprising that a former finance and education minister will make such 'illogical' comments.

According to him, the explanations are not helping matters and that "he should stop adding insults to injury".

"He is taking Ghanaians as fools...we expect better logic from a former finance minister, an engineer and a former education minister. He should show some integrity. All the explanations cast him in a bad light; where he is sounding very illogical".
