Osu Youth Go On Rampage

The youth of Osu yesterday demonstrated against what they termed imposition of a chief on them by the Acting President of the Ga Traditional Council, Nii Adotey Obour.

The youth who carried placards some of which read ?Nii Adotey Obour is a traitor, ?corruption in Ga Traditional council?, ? Nii Obour cannot impose chief on us?.

Amidst chanting war ? songs, they accused Nii Adotey Obour of imposing David Ashong, now known as Nii Nortey Owuo, on them as Acting Osu Manste, instead of the rightful overlord, Mankralo Nii Ako Nortei.

The action nearly marred the well attended public forum organised by the AMA Boss, Stanley Blankson, to account for his two and half months in office and answer questions from the public.

The situation was however brought under control by AMA guards and some prominent elders of Osu before the forum begun. The youth do not understand why AMA should invite somebody not recognised as chief.
