Other credible people will fill Nduom's void If... - Divine Nkrumah

There are several options to choose from should Dr. Kwesi Nduom decides not to lead the Progressive People’s Party in 2016, Divine Nkrumah has asserted.

The party, which became a force to reckon with during the 2012 general elections, looks to have lost stability following reports that their 2012 flagbearer might step aside and hand over the baton to another candidate.

The panic associated with the news has forced the party’s National Youth Organizer, Divine Nkrumah, to wade into the matter and shower cold waters on it.

In an interview with Peacefmonline.com, Mr. Nkrumah stated that as a member of the National Committee, he cannot confirm whether Dr. Nduom decision to call it quit is true or not. He stressed that at the right time, he believes the 2012 flagbearer of the PPP will come out to officially address the matter.

“I want to put on record that the PPP is bigger than any individual. If he (Nduom) decides to step aside, I can assure party supporters that the party has credible individuals who can fill the void...PPP is for the masses. It is not a one man party and it can’t be said anywhere that it is for Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom,” he stated.

On behalf of the youth wing of the party, he pleaded with Dr. Nduom to rescind his decision if indeed he intends taking such a course and return to the battlefront in 2016.
