Black Stars coach Otto Addo visited injured Ghana defender Alidu Seidu in France before his successful knee surgery.
The Stade Rennes right-back underwent the operation after suffering a cruciate ligament injury in his left knee during a Ligue 1 match against LOSC last month.
Addo shared words of encouragement with Seidu, offering support and solidarity during this challenging period.
The surgery was successful, and Seidu is set to begin his rehabilitation. However, the injury will keep him sidelined until next year, ruling him out of Ghana’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers in March against Chad and Madagascar.
Before the setback, Seidu had been in stellar form for Stade Rennes, earning the club’s Player of the Month Award in September.
Addo’s visit highlights the importance of morale-boosting gestures as the defender works towards a full recovery.
