A resident of the Ablekuma West constituency has criticised authorities in the constituency, particularly the Municipal Chief Executive, over the neglect and inaction in dealing with filth in some parts of Dansoman.

The resident, complaining bitterly about how a lagoon in Dansoman has been turned into a dump site, chastised the MCE for failing to use his security to fight the menace.

“We had a lagoon full of fish but has now been turned into a refuse dump site. The MCE has police, military protection but he can't seem to fight the filth in the area. Go and see how the place is because of the dump site and it's now breeding sicknesses,” he said.

According to him, authorities and leaders of the constituency have neglected their concerns, causing the refuse at the dump site to pollute their water when it rains.

Speaking exclusively on GhanaWeb TV’s Campaign Trail, the aggrieved constituent attributed the illnesses recorded in the area to the pollution caused by the filth.
