Former President John Dramani Mahama has said his commitment as well as that of President Nana Akufo-Addo to Ghana and Africa is “unshakable”.
According to him, working together with Mr Akufo-Addo despite their difference in ideology will move Africa forward.
Mr Mahama made this known in a tweet after the inauguration of the president of The Gambia, Adama Barrow, in Banjul over the weekend when he met and interacted with his successor Akufo-Addo.
“Working together, we'll move Africa forward. We may not always share the same ideals, but our commitment to Ghana & Africa is unshakeable,” Mr Mahama’s tweet said.

Mr Mahama recently handed over power to Mr Akufo-Addo after the latter defeated him in presidential elections in December 2016. He received commendation for conceding defeat and handing over a peaceful and stable Ghana to his successor.
