Former General Secretary of the Christian Council of Ghana, Rev. Dr. Opuni-Frimpong has said that the country's democracy must avoid becoming a dictatorship of the majority.

Speaking on Okay FM's ‘Ade Akye Abia’ programme, he explained that this attitude of winner takes all is killing the country's democracy, adding that politicians should learn to do more when they win power in any elections.

He commended the President and his advisers for demonstration of commitment towards the fight against Political Vigilantism and violence in our democratic system.

“All other Stakeholders must pledge their full dedication to Democracy that guarantees peace, prosperity and security for all,” he said.

"Ghana's democracy must function in an atmosphere of freedom, justice and pursuit of the common good.”

It must be said of us that we were the generation that laid the foundation for Economic transformation, good governance and strong democratic institutions.
