In a heartwarming tale of resilience and hope, 85-year-old Alice Adjoa Ahiaku shares her journey of overcoming infertility, rejection, and societal pressure to become a proud mother.

Alice's story began in her early 20s when she married her husband, Mr. Norgbedzi, and was expected to conceive immediately.

However, fate had other plans. Despite her efforts, she was unable to get pregnant, leading to ridicule and disdain from her husband, family, and community, as reported by myjoyonline.com.

"I was treated with disdain by family, husband, and community. People said I was not a woman because I couldn't conceive. But I kept telling them that it's not my fault and that when God wants to give me a child, He will," she narrated.

Medical Intervention

Determined to have a child, Alice sought medical attention and was prescribed various medications. She even resorted to traditional fertility medicines, but to no avail.

Her husband, in a shocking move, brought another woman into their home, further exacerbating her emotional pain.

However, her fortunes changed when she met a mysterious woman who sold her a fertility medicine with a condition: she would only pay for it after she got pregnant. And so, she did.

After 15 years of marriage, Alice finally conceived, but her husband remained unsupportive, refusing to believe the news until he saw a baby bump. Despite the challenges, she persevered, giving birth to a baby boy through a cesarean section.

"I was so happy to have a baby boy. I named him Xorlali, meaning 'My Redeemer lives' or 'My Saviour has delivered me'," she recounted.

Today, her son, Abraham Norgbedzi, is 50 years old, and she has become a proud grandmother. Her story serves as a testament to the power of hope, faith, and resilience in the face of adversity.

She advises women going through similar experiences to have faith in God and not to give up.

"Don't listen to everything people say. Associate with good people, get busy, and be hopeful. It is God who creates babies, and when the time is right, He will create your own for you," she noted.

Her inspiring story is a reminder that with determination and faith, even the darkest of times can lead to a brighter future.
