Samson Anyenini and his able panelists as usual discussed the crux of pertinent issues which have made the headlines within the week.

First, the fallout of the Town Hall Meeting.

Two important events were held within the week; one from the Economic Management Team (EMT) led by Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the other by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) where Hon. Isaac Adongo pooh-poohed Veep’s presentation about the economy.

The meetings, held on Wednesday and Thursday respectively came at a time the Ghanaian cedi is having some stability troubles and Ghana’s exit from the extended IMF credit programme.

The recent power outages was also discussed as many Ghanaians have registered their displeasure about the worrying development. The Power Distribution Service on Friday suspended its load shedding porgramme after a directive from the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) which said it had enough power.

Also tabled for discussion was whether the reinstatement of all three lecturers of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) who were sacked by Governing Council Chair Prof. Anthony Afful-Broni, is a path to resolution. The institution is to reopen on Monday, April 8, after violent student protests caused it to be closed.
