PNC salutes Hollande

The People’s National Convention (PNC) on Monday congratulated Monsieur Francois Hollande on his historic victory in the just ended French elections and said, his victory held a promise for the PNC in the upcoming general elections in Ghana as it sought to offer Ghanaians policies for total development .

A statement in Accra signed by Mr Bernard Mornah, General Secretary, said, the "PNC does not only see this victory as historic but shares in it more for what it represents for true socialist parties across the world.

"After several years of full flight neo-liberal and capitalist development policies in France which have invariably contributed to the crippling of the Euro and Euro Zone, the election of Hollande’s socialist party is significant in the forward march of true socialist parties such as the PNC in restoring lost hope and shattered aspirations."

It said the PNC looked forward to the realization by the good people of Ghana, particularly that the neo-liberal policies pursued by the current NDC government were retrogressive, by voting the PNC to lead the nation from austerity to real growth and true development in the December polls.

"As France falls to true and progressive socialist ideas, and Greece seems set to follow suit, the horizon shines with hope for the People’s National Convention as it seeks to gain more parliamentary seats and win the presidential polls on December 7th, 2012", the statement said.**
