The Progressive People’s Party (PPP) says it will use the Police to retrieve one of its four wheel Tundra pick-ups from GFP flagbearer Akua Donkor.
According to the PPP, the failed GFP Presidential candidate refused to return the campaign vehicle and all efforts by the party to retrieve the vehicle after the elections has proved futile.
PPP Chairman Brew Hammond in an interview with XYZ News said the party gave Akua Donkor the vehicle to use in campaigning for its Flagbearer Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom after she endorsed him prior to the elections.
But Brew Hammond says Akua Donkor has refused to return the vehicle after the elections.
“We have asked her to return the Tundra and she is running around refusing to return it. We did not give to her as a gift, it was for campaign and the campaign is over and we are asking her to return the Tundra.
“If she doesn’t return the vehicle we would have to go to the Police because it was given to her to be used for the campaign,” Mr. Hammond said.
Akua Donkor is also reported by the Daily Democrat Newspaper to have cast aspersions on Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom for challenging the election results.
She allegedly described Dr Nduom as a “bad man” for rejecting the results of the elections.
PPP Chairman Brew Hammond added Akua Donkor’s comments cannot sully Dr. Nduom’s reputation.
“Progressive people in the country are shocked by the statements coming from Akua Donkor that in my view reduces her own credibility; I don’t think anyone takes her seriously”.
