PPP pledges to promote made in Ghana goods

Dr Papa Kwasi Nduom, Presidential Candidate of the Progressive Peoples Party (PPP) has pledged to ensure the promotion and consumption of locally made Ghanaian goods when voted into power.

This, he said, would help to significantly cut down on importation and allow for the growth and vibrancy of local industries.

He said this when inaugurating the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) branch of the Progressive Youth Movement (PYM), the students’ wing of the party, in Kumasi.

He said they would create the right environment to support businesses to create jobs and wealth for the people adding that the industry, farmers and fishermen would receive low interest loans, technical assistance and tax incentives.

Dr Nduom said the PPP government would ensure that every Ghanaian child has access to quality education, would provide standardized school facilities and see to it that education from the kindergarten to senior high school is free and compulsory.

He said vocational training institutions would also be increased for all school leavers to gain employable skills.

He appealed to voters to give the party the opportunity to implement its “agenda for change”, using the spirit of inclusiveness and full participation of women and the youth.

He reminded all qualified voters to register during the biometric voters’ registration exercise.
