Paga United Football Club (FC), a division two club in Accra, would embark on a three-day try-out for players between ages 14-20, at the Kissieman Park, Accra.
The try-out is fixed for Thursday, December 7, to Saturday December 9, 2017 and would begin from 8:30am and 4:30pm each day.
The Accra based club, would use the exercise to scout for new players to beef up their squad ahead of the new season.
After an eventful season, which saw them win silver at the 2017 Gothia Cup in China and placing 4th in the Greater Accra Division 2 Zone 3A, the club held an end of year awards gala, to reward the team for their achievements and also give recognition to deserving players and technical handlers of the club last month.
Paga United FC, won silver medal at their maiden appearance at the biggest youth football tournament, where they came second in the boys U-25 division.
According to the secretary of the club, Mr. Charles Achari, players who would be selected by the technical team would be given an opportunity to live their dream of developing their footballing talent and playing top flight football in Ghana and beyond.
Mr. Achari explained that, the club wants to recruit players within 14-20 years, so they can successfully develop their talents and offer them a bigger stage to claim a brighter future for themselves and their families in Africa.
Paga United FC placed a respectable 4th in Zone 3A with 39 points behind eventual winners Emmanuel FC, Charity FC and third placed Golden Boys.
The club is named after the birth place of the founder of the club, Mr. John Vaa, who hails from Paga in the Upper East Region.
