Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Papaye Fast Foods, Divine Asiedu has entreated parents to regulate the use of electronic gadgets by their wards as it has the potential of influencing them negatively if supervision is thrown to the dogs.

He also advised pupils to be disciplined and learn hard to be able to equip themselves for the unknown future.

Speaking on the occasion of 'Papaye Our Day Special Excellence Awards', he further urged the Ministry of Education to look at academic affairs one more time.

"We suggest that the knowledge and skills imparted and acquired by our children in the classrooms should be relevant to successful careers and in fulfillment of the demand of the increasing globalised and competitive world.”

He noted that, "We at Papaye wish to pledge our commitment to be environmentally conscious, customer-oriented, socially responsible and uphold a high level of integrity in our operations".

The 'Papaye Our Day Excellence Awards' is an innovation from Papaye Fast Foods, with its prime aim of promoting academic excellence with the first-cycle institutions in Accra and its environs.

About 810 brilliant-and-disciplined pupils from 30 schools from both the private and the public sector were awarded.

Each school presented the best three pupils from basic one to junior high school form 3 to be awarded.

In a typical ‘Our Day’ fashion, the children were refreshed, given certificates and educational materials to enhance their schooling.

Executive Chairman of Papaye Fast Foods, Dr Samuel Kalmoni, in his statement, stated that the company has received numerous calls from Ghanaians to get Papaye closer to their communities, and as a response, Papaye is looking forward to the coming years to expand further in Accra.

He said all things being equal, Lapaz, Atomic road and Awoshie roundabout will have Papaye branches in the first quarter of 2018.

He assured that Papaye will not relent on its corporate social responsibility efforts of continuing to celebrate the remarkable achievements of brilliant-and-disciplined students in the coming years
