The family of Ernest Nuamah was in the stands on Thursday, December 12, 2024, to watch him as Lyon faced the 2022 Europa League champions, Eintracht Frankfurt.
Nuamah was named in the starting XI for the first time since Lyon faced Qarabag in November, and the Ghanaian repaid the faith with a marvelous goal to put Lyon 3-1 up on the night. In a move reminiscent of Arjen Robben, Nuamah deftly cut inside before curling a stunning shot into the top-left corner.
In the stands to witness Nuamah’s first goal of the season was his family, and their presence was evident when the forward gestured to them during his celebrations.
At the end of the game, Nuamah’s parents, accompanied by two brothers, posed for a picture that has been shared widely on social media, garnering thousands of likes and heartwarming comments.
