The Appointments Committee has cleared three deputy ministers-designate to be approved by Ghana’s Parliament.
The committee unanimously approved the appointment of Emmanuel Bombande, Joseph Angmor Tetteh and John Oti Bless as deputy ministers of foreign affairs, Eastern region and local government respectively.
However, Oti Bless had issues with the change of his name from Kopi John Kwabena to his present one. He went to the University of Cape Coast for a Masters' programme with a diploma from the University of Ghana.
According to Starr News’ parliamentary correspondent Kobby Gomez-Mensah, after thorough checks, it was realised he “didn't pursue national service, an obligation that all graduates are expected to undertake.”
The committee has, however, recommended the MP for Nkwanta North and the two others for approval.
