Parliamentary work is sacrificial- MP

Ntribuoho (Ash), May 7, GNA- Nana Asante-Frempong, Member of Parliament (MP) for Kwabre, has described as erroneous the impression that people enter parliament to make money.

He said a greater number of people rather sacrifice their time and energy to go to parliament to make name.

Nana Asante-Frempong was addressing the people of Ntribuoho in the Kwabre district when he visited the area to explain government policies and the workings of parliament to them on Wednesday.

Speaking on the topic: "The Role Of An MP In A Democratic Dispensation", he stressed that it was time people got to know the duties and functions of an MP.

He said people could decide to provide a community with a facility without necessarily being a Member of Parliament if the person has the means.

The MP commended the people for their communal spirit and contributions to teachers for their performance to improve the academic standard of the children.

Nana Asante-Frempong urged the people to support the education of their children.

Nana Kofi Mensah, Odikro of Ntribuoho, advised the youth in the town to continue to support the development projects of the area. He called on the MP to help the community to get the road from Ntribuoho to Afrancho rehabilitated.
