A self-styled Reverend Minister who doubles as the Organiser of the annual Ghana Peace Awards, Emmanuel Nash has swindled an event organizer, Deluxy Rose Events to the tune of three thousand two hundred cedis (GH¢3,2o0).
The soft spoken “Man of God” who resides at Nungua in Accra has since gone into hiding and his whereabouts currently unknown.
The victim, Aborelie Achira-Mills who is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Deluxy Rose Events who confirmed this to MyNewsGh.com said it all happened when she received a phone call to be at the banquet hall to prepare the place for the Ghana Peace Awards in October 2017.
She indicated that she demanded before she will ask her workers to start decorating the event grounds however, she could not receive her payment because banks had closed.
Although Abolere decided not to go ahead with decorating the venue, several pleas from the Canadian Embassy and the Former Inspector General of Police, John Kudalor convinced her to prepare the event which saw eight-hundred people in attendance.
“I went to the bank a day after the programme to cash my money but the cheque bounced. I went the following day and the cheque bounced again, I went there again on the third day and the cheque bounced again,” a worried Abolere narrated her frustration.
Several calls placed to the supposed Reverend Minister went unanswered for days and days turned to months.
Upon sensing she had been swindled, Abolera decided to visit the Church in which he claims to be a Pastor, Sheep Fold Ministries and to her surprise, she was told that Emmanuel Nash is never a pastor but a common member of the Church.
A disappointed Abolera was directed to the house of Emmanuel Nash who was arrested but granted bail after he paid Four thousand cedis (GH¢4,000) of the total amount and pleaded that the issue be settled out of the Police Station.
“Since then, I’ve not seen this man and he does not pick my calls neither does he return them or my messages. The man is a fraudster who poses gently as a man of God and a Professor. His demeanor as a person will make you fall for his antics. I hear he went to Legon to organize a beauty pageant and promised to give the winner a car. After he left with the money made out of the event, the winners have not received their prizes. This man has done this to several people and it’s very bad,” Abolera said angrily.
Her worry is that this year’s edition of the Ghana Peace Awards has been launched and Emmanuel Nash has nominated some big names such as Lawyer Sam Okudzeto, Rt. Rev. Samuel Noi Mensah, Dr Thomas O. Mensah, Seth Kwame Boateng among other and his next victim will suffer similar fate.
