Workers of the Kumasi Children's Hospital have threatened to lay down their tools over the Controller and Accountant General's failure to pay their January salaries.

According to some staff who spoke to Abusua FM's reporter Osei Kwadwo, management of the Hospital informed them in a meeting that no worker would receive January salary because their validation process did not go through.

The workers have therefore threatened to embark on a sit-down strike should management indeed fail to do the needful as soon as possible.

"We the angry workers have warned the management to finish the validation process as soon as possible or else face our wrath.”

"How can we work for one month without salary all because a management member failed to perform his duty?", they asked.

"What we can say now is that ‘No salary No work’ because we cannot work with our empty stomach. We want the management to come again”.
