Young adult Mentors of the Ghana chapter of PeaceJam on Wednesday April 26, embarked on what they termed as an inspirational tour of some basic schools in Accra.

The tour which is aimed at inspiring final year students in some selected Junior High Schools and setting the mood for their 2017 June conference slated for 24th and 25th at the University of Ghana, gave the mentors and opportunity to interact with candidates of the basic education certificate examination (BECE) in three schools.

The schools visited are the Holy Family Basic School in Mataheko, Mary Star of the Sea basic school, Dansoman and Prince of Peace Basic School, Kwashieman. The tour gave the room for the candidates to be coached on issues such as fear and examination malpractices among others.

Speaking after the interaction with the pupils of the Prince of Peace JHS, a tutor, Miss Gloria Agbleke thanked the young adult mentors of Peacejam Ghana for the remarkable initiative. She urged them not to relent in their effort in making society a better place but rather open the scope of their target.

For her part, Miss Rosemond Quaye, leader of the young adult Mentors said as ambassadors of PeaceJam Ghana, their focus is to impact positively on individuals and society.

She said the mission of the group is captured in their slogan which says “Harnessing potentials and building society through service”
