Pencils of Promise provides school infrastructure for Adaklu

Pencils of Promise, a non-governmental organisation with support from the Adaklu District Assembly, has provided educational infrastructure to selected basic schools in the Adaklu District.

The project, a four, six-unit and three, three-unit classroom blocks, had the support from Mr Kwame Agbodza, Member of Parliament from the area.

The beneficiary communities are Kpeleho, Sofa, Avedzi, Torda, Kpatove, Vodze and Hli have, described as very deprived areas in the District.

Mr Freeman Goba, Country Director, Pencils of Promise said the project, estimated at GHc 1.8 million was to make the school environment and school buildings attractive to pupils of in the area.

He said the project was expected to increase school enrolment and challenged teachers to let the infrastructure impact positively on academic performance of the pupils.

Mr Agbodza who inaugurated the projects commended Pencils of Promise for the foresight and expressed the hope that it would help better teaching and learning in the District.

All seven communities drummed and danced in appreciation of the gesture.
