A library and computer laboratory block built for the Konongo Urban Council Primary and Junior High School, to promote effective teaching and learning has been inaugurated at Konongo Zongo, a suburb of Konongo.
It was sponsored by Dr Steve Ogborjor, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of First Klass Hospital at Konongo Zongo.
Dr Ogborjor said it was his nature to share whatever he had with those in the community he lived in.
He also said when he first visited the school, he realised that it did not have a library or computer laboratory and, therefore, decided to help provide those facilities for the school.
He advised parents to be responsible in the training of their children, adding that it was his desire to see the youth more disciplined, open and tolerant, and contribute to the nation’s development.
He said it was necessary for parents to help inculcate the sense of patriotism, commitment, unity and love, which are good qualities for positive growth, in their children.
