The Manya Krobo District Security Oversight Committee has initiated a number of actions including the provision of patrol vehicles to the Police in the area to restore public confidence and safety following an armed robbery attack there recently during which an employee of the
Manya District Assembly was killed.
Speaking to the GNA at Agormanya on Sunday the District Chief Executive, Mr Andrews Tei said actions being taken to ensure public safety included the immediate provision of a vehicle to the Police to patrol the area during the night.
He said based upon the recommendation of the Oversight Committee, watchdog committees were to be set-up in all suburbs of the Odumase-Krobo Township to empower the people to take charge of their own security.
He explained that those to be selected for the exercise would be screened by the Police.
