Police beef up security at Ho and Aflao during Christmas

Ho, Dec. 24, GNA- Mr Nicholas Blewushie, Ho District Police Commander on Wednesday assured the public that security has been beefed up to ensure an incident-free Christmas in Ho and its environs. He said Police presence would be evident everywhere to offer help and prevent criminal activity as well as ensure that drivers obeyed traffic regulations.

Mr Blewushie said day-and-night patrols had been set in motion and already some young men with television sets suspected to be stolen had been placed in custody. He did not disclose their identities. He said there would be Police presence at all social gatherings to ensure that law and order were not breached.

There are reported heavy human traffic along the Ghana-Togo border with fluid movement of people between Lome and Aflao as Immigration officials in Togo have seemingly relaxed their stringent immigration formalities.
