The Private Sector Advisory Board (PSAB), has commended a team of police officers, for saving lives and property during the heavy rains that occurred of May 29th, 2019.
“The board has noticed the sacrifice the officers made, such as wading through floods to save stranded persons, especially women and children in some part of Accra.”
A release from the board and copied to the GNA, said while similar efforts by other police officers might not have attracted wide media publicity, the board wished to express its appreciation to all police officers who worked tirelessly day and night, not to renege on their efforts, because the Ghanaian public acknowledged good policing, “in line with the Transformation Agenda”
The PSAB was established by the Inspector-General of Police, Mr David Asante Apeatu, to provide strategic advice and direction on the Transformation Agenda and also, foster strong partnership with private sector stakeholders to support the Ghana Police Service.
The Board consists of Reverend Dr Joyce Rosalind Aryee-Founder, Salt and Light Ministries (chairperson), Mr Samuel Amo Tobbin –Executive Chairperson, Tobbinco Group, Mrs Kate Quartey-Papafio-Founder, Reroy Cables Ltd, Mr Ernest Bediako Sampong -CEO, Ernest Chemist Ltd, and Mr Daniel Awuah Darko –Chairman, Vanguard Assurance Co. Ltd.
The rest are Mr Yaw Boadu-Ayeboafo, Chairman National Media Commission, COP George Tuffour Director–General, Finance, Ghana Police Service, ACP David Senanu Eklu, Director–General Public Affairs Directorate, Ghana Police Service and Supt Henry Ayisi Mensah Acting Director Transformation Programme Office of the Ghana Police Service.
