The Ghana Police Service has noted a viral video showing individuals allegedly registering their displeasure about the collation exercise in Accra by the Electoral Commission (EC) today, 21st December 2024, by blocking and setting fires on public roads at Nsawam Adoagyiri.
“We wish to state that the claim is false and has no correlation with today’s collation exercise in Accra.
“The said incident is a reported case under investigation which occurred on 8th December 2024,” the police narrated in a statement.
The police continued: “We, therefore, urge the public to disregard the false claim.”
The police further urge the general public to remain calm since there is adequate deployment of security personnel in and around Nsawam Adoagyiri to ensure the maintenance of law and order.
