The Ghana Police Service are actively searching for Mujaheed Suraj, also known as Mims, who is allegedly behind the shooting incident at the Awutu Senya East Constituency in the Central Region.
The suspect allegedly shot and injured one person in the leg before fleeing the scene, leaving behind his vehicle, which has since been impounded by the police.
An intelligence-led operation is underway to track down and arrest Suraj, with authorities assuring the public that they are committed to bringing him to justice.
A police statement said “We are doing everything possible to apprehend the suspect and will ensure he faces the full force of the law.”
The victim’s condition is stable, and police are urging anyone with information about Suraj’s whereabouts to come forward.
The police have assured residents that efforts are being made to ensure their safety as the investigation continues.
