Police offer money for information on Kumasi killers

The Ashanti Regional Police Command has placed a 2,000 Ghana Cedi prize on the heads of the killers of Prince Opoku Antoh nephew of the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Frederick Fredua (FF) Antoh.

A press release issued by the Regional Police Command and signed by its Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Tanko said anybody with information leading to the arrest of the perpetrators of the crime including the shooting at Ashtown will be rewarded with the amount.

The statement confirms, it was a robbery attack and stating that there were only two customers at the Pub, the deceased and another at the time of the incident.

30 year old Opoku Antoh was allegedly gunned at the Dark City Pub, a popular drinking spot in Dichemso, a suburb in Kumasi by five men suspected to be armed robbers on Sunday morning.

The alleged robbers, reportedly invaded the pub and demanded that all monies at the counter be handed over to them.

When the victim refused an order by the robbers to hand over his iphone to them, a scuffle ensued and in the process, Antoh was shot in the head at close range leading to his untimely death.
