In a tragic incident at Ahodwo, Nhyiaeso, in the Ashanti Region, a police officer was killed during a robbery that took place around 1 am on June 27, 2024. The Ghana Police Service has confirmed the arrest of one individual in connection with the crime.

The Police Service, in a brief statement, announced that an "intelligence operation is underway to apprehend the remaining suspects and bring them to justice."
