Police officer’s son sodomises prominent VC’s son at AIS

A son of a prominent Vice Chancellor of a respected public University in Accra, has been sodomised by a fellow student at the Akosombo International School in the Eastern region.

Starr News has learnt that the victim has been withdrawn from the school by his father after the incident occurred November last year.

The teenage boy, who was in JHS two at the time, is reported to have been abused by his senior colleague, who is believed to be the son of a top police officer in the country.

The incident occurred after the victim had gone to deliver a message to the perpetrator in a dormitory while other students were having classes.

The Chairman of the Parent Teachers Association of the school, Ato Essiam who confirmed the incident to Starr News said he was told by some teachers of the school that the development left the victim traumatised for days.

“I had the information from a parent and I called the headmaster to find out and he said there was an element of truth in the matter, but the school had put up a disciplinary committee to come up with some recommendations.

“So I asked for the recommendation and I was told that [the Vice Chancellor’s] son was now living with a teacher because he was traumatised and was going through counseling.

“And I said the boy who did the thing shouldn’t be in the school again,” he added.

The Vice Chancellor has confirmed the story to Starr News but appealed to the media to respect the privacy of his family, in the best interest of his son, whom he has moved to a new school.
