The Ghana Police Service is in court seeking an injunction against a planned anti-corruption demonstration scheduled for Tuesday by the Progressive People’s Party (PPP).
According to the Accra Regional Police Commander, DCOP Christian Tetteh Yohonu the demonstration is coming too soon after the election petition verdict.
This is in response to the PPP’s decision to demonstrate with or without police supervision.
The Chairman of the Progressive People’s Party, Nii Allotey Brew Hammond is vowing to defy the Police and proceed with a planned anti-corruption demonstration scheduled for tomorrow.
“We intend to proceed tomorrow even if the police do not show up; we have duly informed them and in any case, this demonstration will be a peaceful procession,” he argued.
