As the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) gears up for National Delegates’ Conference over the weekend at Central Region capital of Cape Coast, security capos have assured delegates and the people in region of adequate security.

Contrary to reports that heavily built men believed to be supporters of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) are planning to cause confusion at the congress ground, mynewsgh.com’s Kwabena Danso-Dapaah reporting from the region says “the Ghana Police Service has indicated its preparedness to deal mercilessly with trouble makers”.

The Regional Police Command says they are ready to ensure the safety of lives before, during and after the conference and will ensure a peaceful atmosphere

“The Police is ready for any eventuality. …anyone or group of persons who decide to go contrary to the law will meet our match”, Regional Commander, DCOP Rev. Nenyi Ampah Benin warned.

He added enough personnel are currently on the ground monitoring proceedings as the D-day draws near.
