Police warns offenders

Kasoa (C/R), Jan 30, GNA - The Kasoa Police has warned people causing panic by issuing threats through telephones calls to some workers of the Urban Council to desist from the act, otherwise when caught, the law will take its course.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency in an interview on Monday, Mr Charles Adalong, Assistant Superintendent of Police for Kasoa District said threat constitute an offence punishable by law and the Constitution protects every citizen against anything that affects their very existence.

He therefore, appealed to the members of the public to help trace owners of the following mobile phones: 0244-904610 and 0242-967841. ASP Adalong said soon after a forum organised by the Awutu-Efutu-Senya District Assembly to educate market women to move to the new Kpehe market, the official of the Council and some members of the Market Women Association were being threatened, apparently not to move.

He said information leading to the arrest of the offenders would be treated with all the confidentiality it deserves.
