Premiere Of Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations In Ghana

Washington, DC, USA -- Two of weeks ago, the Travel Channel premiered; "Anthony Bourdain's - No Reservations" - a documentary showcasing Ghana's food and culture. The documentary has received great reviews from the worldwide community. The Travel Channel and The Africa Society in conjunction with the Embassy of Ghana invited the Ghanaian community and friends of Ghana for the viewing of; "Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations" at the Chancery in Washington, DC.

The invited guests featured dignitaries which included; Honourable Donald M. Payne, Member of Congress from the Tenth District, New Jersey and many business professionals.

The keynote speaker was; Honourable Jake Obetsebi Lamptey, Minister of Tourism and Diaspora Relations who received a standing ovation after delivering a lecture on; Andrew Young Lecture series on Africa and earning a nickname; Jake by many admirers. Hon. Obetsebi Lamptey had travelled from Atlanta after gracing the Martin Luther King March as the Grand Marshall.

Earlier, His Excellency, Dr. Kwame Bawuah-Edusei, Ghana's Ambassador to the US had officially welcomed guests to the premiere. The event was hosted; by Ms Bernadette B. Paolo, President of the Africa Society.

The Executive Vice President of the Travel Channel; Mr. Patrick Young in a conversation with this writer after the viewing said, he was pleased with the production and viewers could also tell Anthony really had a great time doing it.
One important note worth mentioned; Anthony Bourdain after completing his tour in Ghana said the documentary was the best of the series he had done.

The Ghanaian community worldwide also acknowledge the good work of Africa Society, Ministry of Tourism and Diaspora Relations, Discovery Communications and Globla Media Alliance for putting together a great documentary showcasing Ghanaian food and culture. It can be recalled that the said parties were also instrumental in the previous documentary; "Ghana, The Presidential Tour." moderated by Forest Sawyerr and President John Agyekum Kufuor as the Tour Guide.

The world can now see an indepth view of Ghana in a different light - Food and Culture which leads to Tourism.
