Presbyterian University to hold leadership event

The Presbyterian University College Ghana would on Friday, October 23, hold an event to cultivate the art of effective leadership in the lives of its students at Kwawu in the Eastern Region.

The event is being organised by eventPlus Ghana in collaboration with the school’s Student Representative Council on the theme: “Leadership Speaks 2015.”

Mr Isaac Ofosu Obiri, the Chief Programmes Manager of eventPlus Ghana in a statement said: "Leaders who are truly effective are qualified, not by credentials or accomplishments, but by their character."

Charisma, he said, would take a man to the top but character would keep him there.

Mr Obiri noted that it is going to be a marvelous experience and an awe-inspiring, purpose driven event, which is the first of its kind ever to hit the Presbyterian campus.

He expressed the hope that hundreds of students would attend the event.

"Effective leadership is pivotal for successful nation building, business, societies and families," he added.

The Chief of eventPlus stated that the role leadership plays in everyday life could not be overlooked.

He explained that the theme for the occasion was premised to help develop a special brand of leaders who would be "Leaders with Character".

The Executive Team Leader Mr Clement Owusu Adjei said the passion to help churn out effective leaders and create a better world created the platform to sail through challenges in relation to sponsorships.

He called on co-operate bodies to help support such worthy causes.

Speakers at the function includes Reverend Patrick Otieku Boadu of Spearhead Consult, Mr Richard Akita of Lunchpad with Richard Akita, MdS Dale Quist a Mind Surgeon of Mindset Networks and Gamel Sankarl a Nominee of BAFET Awards.
