President Akufo-Addo to break ground for Adenta-Dodowa Road project on August 8

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is scheduled to break ground for the Adenta-Dodowa dualization road project on Thursday, August 8, 2024.

The 22km Adenta-Dodowa Road project is part of the government's broader initiative aimed at addressing traffic congestion and improving road connectivity in the country.

During a recent inspection of the project, the Minister of Roads and Highways, Francis Asenso-Boakye, expressed satisfaction with the progress of work executed by the renowned Ghanaian construction firm, Oswal Investments Ltd.

He pointed out that it demonstrates the government’s commitment to empowering indigenous businesses.

Speaking to the media during the inspection, the minister mentioned that the project's goals include reducing transportation costs, shortening travel time, addressing flooding issues, and improving road infrastructure.

He also stressed the government's commitment to repairing deteriorating roads, especially in densely populated areas in the Greater Accra Region.

Asenso-Boakye emphasized the importance of road infrastructure development, which he believes is crucial for economic growth and connectivity in Ghana.

At the sod-cutting ceremony on Thursday, President Akufo-Addo will be accompanied by various dignitaries, chiefs, and stakeholders to break ground for the significant road project, which aims to improve the country’s road network upon completion.
