Accra, June 16, GNA - President John Agyekum Kufuor on Wednesday presented Instruments of Commission and Letters of Credence to four new Ambassadors at the Castle, Osu.
He also administered the official oath, allegiance and the oath of secrecy to them.
They were, Mr Francis Alex Tsegah, Ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain; Mr Idirisu Mohammed Biyira, Ambassador to the Democratic Republic of Congo, Mr Frederick Daniel Laryea, Ambassador to Senegal and Dr Kwame Bawuah-Edusei, Ambassador to Switzerland and the United Nations European Office.
Present at the ceremony were Vice President Alhaji Aliu Mahama, Professor Alex. A. Kwapong, Chairman of the Council of State and Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Ambassadors asked to be loyal to Ghana
Accra, June 16, GNA- President John Agyekum Kufuor on Wednesday asked Ghana's Ambassadors to be loyal to the Executive, Government and the country.He said; "your territories are deemed as the State of Ghana wherever you will be. What we expect from you is total loyalty to the President, Government and the State of Ghana". President Kufuor made the call when he presented Instruments of Commission and Letters of Credence to four new Ambassadors at the Castle, Osu.
He also administered the oaths of allegiance, office and secrecy to them.

President Kufuor told the Ambassadors: Ghanaians travel widely on the globe and the Ambassadors are duty bound to look after them even those who sometimes go wayward and show concern to them as Ghanaians in their designated countries".
President Kufuor asked them to seek the best opportunities for Ghana's socio-economic development while they comported themselves with dignity but not demean their offices.
"I hope you will do the right thing for Ghana", he said. Mr Tsegah, Ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain, thanked the Government for the confidence reposed in them as personal representatives of the President, the Government and the State of Ghana. He pledged on behalf of his colleagues to ensure that the Government's foreign policy objectives were realised, adding that would find new markets for Made-In-Ghana goods.
Mr Tsegah said protection of Ghanaians in their designated countries would be their priority because they had no elusion about the task ahead of them.
