President Mahama to arrive in France on Monday evening

President John Dramani Mahama and his wife Lordina Mahama are expected to arrive in Paris, France on Monday at exactly 1700 hours local time at the Orly Airport to undertake a three-day state visit of the European country.

Mrs Marylise Lebranchu, Minister of State Reform, Decentralization and Civil Service, would officially receive the first family and the delegation alongside African Ambassadors and a delegation from the Ghanaian Community in France.

The President’s itinerary released to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) stated that President would on Tuesday morning visit and engage various government officials and hold bilateral discussions at various centres.

President Mahama according to GNA’s source, will later on Tuesday, arrive at the Elysee Palace, the French Presidency, to hold talks with French President Francois Hollande, where he would be expected to review the guard of honour by a detachment of the Republican Guards.

According to the programme, President Mahama would also hold discussions with his host after which he would also meet French Development Minister, Pascal Canfin before visiting some important sites of the city.

The president will on Wednesday among others hold business meetings where he would be holding discussions with some organizations such as Societe Generale, Compaignie Fruitiere, Bollore, TOTAL, Credit Agricole among other Businesses in the French Capital.

He is also expected to visit the French Institute of International Relations to deliver a lecture on “Africa: New Opportunities, new political perspectives,” to crown his three-day official visit to France.
