President Akufo-Addo President Akufo-Addo

President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo has been reminded of his promise to Ghanaians to prosecute corrupt past government officials who are alleged to have embezzled state funds.

Mr. Stephen Kojo Arhin also known in politics as Wewebi, Cape Coast North constituency Treasurer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), said Ghanaians are still anticipating the prosecution considering the havoc they have subjected the Ghanaian economy to.

He revealed that many are those who are gradually getting disappointed because of the delay calling on the president to as a matter of urgency rise up and hold such appointees accountable before they run away from the country with their loot.

“I want to remind President Nana Addo that since the prosecution of corrupt previous government officials was part of his campaign promises he should as matter of urgency act now because Ghanaians are waiting for all his promise some of which he has started fulfilling”, he appealed in an interview with mynewsgh.com.

Wewebi described achievement chalked by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s administration as unprecedented citing the introduction of Free Senior High School (SHS), banning of illegal mining, teachers and nursing training trainee allowances, the commencement of one district one factory policy to ease unemployment situation among others in the country just only eight months.
