Pressure mounts on Judicial Service staff to disclose SC verdict

Some anxious Ghanaians have been making phone calls to their friends and relatives who work at the Judicial Service in their attempt to get to know the election petition verdict ahead of time.

They are under the misconception that workers of the Judicial Service have a role to play in the final verdict pronouncement by the nine-member Bench.

Chairman of the Judicial Service staff association of Ghana, Francis Brakwa told XYZ Breakfast Show host Moro Awudu about the incessant phone calls they are compelled to grapple with from friends and relatives ahead of Thursday’s verdict.

“The relatives normally call in to find out what is coming and which way it is going but these judges are very decent and honorable people so whatever decision they take is up to their chest.

“When they call what we normally tell them is that we are not judges…the relatives do normally call we can’t run away from that.

“Friends, relatives and anybody who knows you want to know something”.
