The Municipal Chief Executive of Prestea Huni-Valley, Hon. Mozart K. Owuh has once again shown that, resources of the Municipality be used judiciously for the betterment of the people, by embarking on completion of abandoned slaughterhouse at Bogoso.
The project which started and was completed in 2015 by former DCE Hon. Wisdom Cudjoe was rejected and abandoned by Cattle Farmers Association of Bogoso because it did not meet the needs and specifications of the Cattle Farmers.
Due to that, controlling cattle in the capital, Bogoso has been a topic in the Municipality, with several reports of cattle encroaching campuses of St. Augustine SHS.
After several complaints and petitions from the farmers, the Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Mozart K. Owuh came to the aide of the farmers by restructuring the whole apartment and providing all various facilities needed in a standard slaughterhouse.
The MCE said it is the hope that the farmers will put the new facility into good use for the benefit of Prestea Huni-Valley Municipality.
He added that "this new goodwill from me and the Assembly, the Cattle Farmers will be a pivot that will lead into victory in the fight against stray cattle loitering not only in the capital, Bogoso, but to Prestea and other communities in the Municipality".
